Closed Shelf' abandoned at country library this past year

6 July 1946

Umatilla County librarian, Neva Le Blond, writes about why the closed book shelf would be discontinued. The closed book shelf was actually attracting more attention to books that were not in the main collection due to shocking passages. She states that eventually most of the collection would end up on the closed book shelf, which would be ludicrous. Le Blond reviews several works of fiction.
