Bill to abolish crime comics in Oregon senate

1 February 1995

A bill was presented to the Oregon State Senate asking for the abolition of obscene comic books that make crime seem fascinating to minors. The bill would also authorize a commission that would evaluate books for content. A list of comics that are harmful to minors would be compiled and penalties would be levied on any store or employee selling them to minors.
