Jurors to scan book under attack as indecent

29 November 1956

Jurors on a Marion County grand jury investigating a case regarding sales of "indecent literature" were given copies of the book "A Dame Called Murder" as a possible example of such literature. The principal witness against the sale of indecent literature, Mrs. John Pfeifer, was not permitted to testify because her opinion was deemed an invasion of the rights of the jury.
