Book pulled from class pending review

13 December 2008

Hank Moss wishes his son's school had given him some warning about the graphic nature of one of their assigned books: Sherman Alexie's "Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian." They didn't, so he took his complaint to the school board, and the book was removed from the classroom pending a reexamination of the school's policies. Community members comment.
