Sheridan library group quits over display schedule snafu

14 June 1995

The Sheridan Friends of the Library board of directors resigned after a display they had scheduled in the library was preempted by a display on traditional family values organized by Tod Butterfield. The board of directors thought the head librarian, Toni Rose, was uncooperative in resolving the issue; the city manager had offered space in City Hall as an alternative venue, but the board declined the offer.
