Book sparks controversy at Three Rivers board meeting: Discourse focuses on board member interrupting parents

Parents argued for requiring parental permission in order for children to access "Persepolis" from high school libraries in the Three Rivers School District. Librarian and board member Kate Dwyer interrupted parents during the discussion and defended the book. Comments shared by other members of the community are included. The board suggested parents contact the superintendent and director of curriculum if they wished to pursue action.
