Library celebrating banned books week

The Douglas County Library System is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Banned Books Week to support the freedom to read. The central library in Roseburg has a display of books that have been challenged in school and public libraries across the country. Books challenged in 2011 include “The Hunger Games” and “To Kill A Mockingbird.” Banned Books Week is sponsored by the American Library Association.
