3 August 1953

The purpose of this study was to uncover some experimental methods that would produce satisfactory results in embedding animals, in particular in plastic. The embedded preparations that have been made in connection with this study have been used in the educational field as teaching aids in secondary schools, colleges and museums. Displays for educational exhibits have been made by the methods herein described for the Oregon State Fish and Game Commission, the California State Fish Commission, and for the National Geographic Society.
