NBEO part II (clinical science) systemic conditions review guide

1 May 2006

This study guide was created as a reference to help prepare optometry students for the systemic disease portion of National Board of Examiners of Optometry Part I1 exam. The information has been compiled from various resources including general medicine textbooks, internet resources, National Board of Examiners of Optometry outlines, and systemic disease I, 11, 111 class information. This study guide is primarily organized in table format for easily accessible information regarding epidemiology, etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. Similar diseases are grouped into the same table for quick comparison and differential diagnosis purposes. This reference is only intended to be used as a guide, and the specific contents that are included are based on our interpretation of the National Board of Examiners of Optometry outline. It is not intended to represent all materials that will be covered on the exam. We hope the information regarding systemic diseases summarized into these concise tables will help students better prepare for the board exam.
