Abstract
The purpose of this research is to ascertain an understanding of the perceptions educators have about the link between motor skills development and the development of other areas of a child's life. The areas that are discussed are: cognition, intelligence, social, physical, emotional, math and reading. The perceptions studied, are those of a physical educator as well as a classroom teacher. This piece of research also analyzes whether these two groups of educators teach motor skill development, and if so, in what ways.
