A Psychologically based literature review that explores the dependence of mental health status upon visual-perceptual dysfunction. The visual-perceptual system is reviewed. Associations are discussed concerning schizophrenia, affective disorders, depression, personality disorders, dyslexia, attention deficits, psychosis, neurosis, low self esteem, emotional immaturity.
