Conceptualization of the experience of loving

This dissertation is intended to provide a conceptualization of the experience of loving when in love from a clinical psychological perspective. Pertinent literature in psychology, philosophy, and related fields is reviewed. An original conceptualization of loving as a set of dialectics is offered. Psychotherapeutic implications are discussed.
