Abstract
Fibromyalgia is a poorly understood disease that includes symptoms such as chronic widespread musculoskeletal pain, poor sleep quality, and cognitive fatigue. In the past it has been treated with FDA approved pregabalin, duloxetine, and milnacipran. However, new discoveries regarding fibromyalgia have lead researchers to seek alternative treatment with low dose naltrexone to address the central pain aspect of the syndrome.
