Abstract
Visual acuity is defined and described in terms of some factors of influence. Methods of testing visual acuity of amblyopes are surveyed. Results of studies testing visual acuity under monocular and binocular conditions are presented. A new testing procedure and the results of three cases are presented. The importance of these measurements for diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic purposes are considered.
