Clinical Question: Is the canalith repositioning procedure effective in treating patients who present with PC-BPPV? Population: Male and female patients greater than 18 years of age with PC-BPPV diagnosed based on a positive Dix-Hallpike and subjective reports of positional vertigo with symptoms of an acute or chronic stage. Intervention: The canalith repositioning procedure. Comparison: No treatment or placebo. Outcome measures: The Dix-Hallpike test and subjective reports of positional vertigo symptoms.
