Classroom management techniques

13 August 1998

Classroom management is an issue that most teachers struggle with on a daily basis. The purpose of this study was to find specific techniques that teachers can use to be more effective and efficient in their classrooms. This project explored four different approaches to classroom management and how they effect the classroom environment and its students. This study was performed with the expectation to expand teachers' sensibility of the significance and purpose of their management skills on their students and classroom environments. Research methods of observation, interviews and literature review were used to understand the management strategies that helped meet the needs of students in the classrooms I observed.
