Extra-curricular activities can be important to high schools in producing successful individuals who are capable of making a positive contribution to society. The purpose of this qualitative study is to show the many benefits that extra-curricular activities can provide to students in secondary education. These benefits included misbehaving less often than the non-participatory students, taking pride in oneself and the school, receiving better grades, and wanting to further one's education. Extracurricular activities are needed, for they give students the opportunity to do something they enjoy. Whether it's sports, drama, or any other club, these programs can have a positive effect that will change a teenager's life forever.
